Rhonda Ladig is an impact-driven nonprofit nerd with 15+ years of experience across education, entrepreneurship, and economic development. She has led organizations, built bold collaborations, and designed mission-targeted programs that center equity and opportunity. Across every role, Rhonda’s focus has remained the same: Help impact organizations operate better, to do more good in society.
Thriving at the messy intersection of vision and execution, Rhonda brings operational savvy, changemaking energy, and a knack for connecting people, ideas, and systems (with a side of data geek). She is best at translating complex challenges into sustainable, high-performing initiatives that lift communities and expand capacity.
Rhonda launched her first business at 19 and sold it five years later; after establishing her consulting practice, she also owned and later sold a franchise. Her nonprofit career has spanned healthcare, K-12, higher education, and entrepreneurship-led economic development, while her service career includes the arts, women’s rights, and veteran’s services.
As the inaugural Executive Director of a startup regional entrepreneurship nonprofit designed to support founders in tech and high-growth ventures, Rhonda became a quick study in ecosystem development and formed a deep love and respect for the impact entrepreneurship can have on families and communities. She was also the Director of Strategic Initiatives + Vice President of Operations at 25-year-old, regional entrepreneurship nonprofit where she led deep collaboration-building and ecosystem development for diverse communities of business builders, both urban and rural.
Through Ladig Consulting and her initiative Nonprofit Is A BUSINESS, Rhonda helps nonprofits, entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs), and regional leaders build organizations and ecosystems that actually work, by aligning strategy, structure, and sustainability to drive measurable, mission-anchored results. Clients value her ability to clarify complexity, connect partners across silos, and turn ideas into executable, measurable action. Her clients span the U.S. and include educational institutions, workforce development, entrepreneurship-led economic development, and more. All with one goal: Creating impact that is financially strong and mission-driven.
Rhonda holds a Master’s in Public Management/Public Policy & Administration from Indiana University and a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from Indiana Tech. She is also an inaugural Fellow from the Make Startups Executive Fellowship and earned a certificate in AI for Leaders from Babson College (BabsonX.)
When she’s not trying to “Save the world. A little each day,” Rhonda is likely planning her next travel adventure, foraging in the woods, or testing a new recipe.
